Hamid Jabbar

Educator and Guide

This is what I do

I work with individuals and groups through sound meditation, plant medicine ceremonies, wellness consulting, and transformative retreats. My approach honors ancient wisdom traditions while integrating modern understanding, drawing from Eastern philosophical systems, Western scientific methods, and shamanic lineages to explore the nature of existence and consciousness.

My Journey

I have dedicated my adult life to studying transformative practices across cultures and disciplines. My explorations include Eastern systems of Yoga, Ayurveda, Buddhism, Thai bodywork, Japanese energy work, and Amazonian plant medicines. I hold a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from UCLA and Bachelor of Music from NYU.

As a certified E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, I co-created and co-directed the 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs at Urban Yoga in Downtown Phoenix (2014-2017). My bodywork training includes certifications in Thai Massage, Thai Foot Massage, and Tok Sen, studied directly in Thailand with Ajarn Pichest Boonthumme, plus Western therapeutic massage training at Phoenix College.

Plant Medicine & Wellness Work

My plant medicine studies with Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro) took place in the Peruvian Amazon and Sacred Valley of Peru. This work led me to found the Huachuma Foundation (www.huachumafoundation.org), dedicated to preserving and propagating this sacred cactus. As @mineralshaman, I share research on mineral health’s role in physical wellness and plant medicine integration at www.mineralshaman.com.

Music and Sound

A lifelong musician who attended NYU on music scholarship, I’ve been studying gongs, singing bowls, flutes, and ceremonial instruments since 2012. I’m certified by Don Conreaux and Angelo Surinder in Gongmaster training. I conduct Sound Practitioner Trainings in Phoenix and online, and my music is available on major platforms.
