What Hamid Jabbar has recorded so far

Albums, singles, and a few long ones meant to be left running. Most of it is instrumental.

“I record the way I play in a room. Long, unhurried, no rush to get anywhere. If a track is working you should be able to forget it is on.”

The recordings

Most of it came out of the same room the sound meditations happen in: gongs, crystal and Himalayan bowls, flutes and voice, and some of it has words. It is on the streaming services, and one three hour recording is on YouTube.

Hearing it in a room is different

A recording gives you the notes. A gong in a room gives you the air moving, which is most of what people remember afterward. Events run around the Phoenix area most months.

Sound meditation covers what actually happens in the room, for anybody who has never been to one.
